Polish Pick: Essie Da Bush

Essie Da Bush is a pale pea green creme with a grey undertone. It reminds me of split pea soup. Quite garish. But I love it.

"Essie Da Bush"

Essie Da Bush is from the Spring 2011 Resort Collection. When I first saw it, I just had to have it as it reminded of Sew Psyched, just a lighter version. I ended up not getting Sew Psyched as I thought I didn’t want it anymore. Obviously that’s not the case, guess I will get that too eventually *sigh*. I find the greyish greens to be very interesting nail shades.

Da Bush is a pale pea green creme with sort of a grey undertone. It reminds me of split pea soup, quite garish but I love it. The formula is great. There were no application issues and it had decent opacity in two coats. Now you guys know that I don’t go topless… er, I mean I don’t skip out on my topcoat. So where is it you ask… It’s waiting for “da bling”.

2 coats, No topcoat

I decided to get a little fancy and add a design. I used China Glaze Cracked Concrete Crackle to create a diagonal “crackle tip”, created the silver strip with an L.A. Colors design polish and topped with Seche Vite. Finally, my top coat. I noticed that Cracked Concrete took on an olive tone when placed over Da Bush. I likey!

So what ye say on Da Bush? Yay or Nay?

    1. Thank you. China Glaze has a nice range of crackles. I am experimenting with the Metal Crackles now and will be posting soon 🙂
