Spring 2011 Fashion Trends: Florals, Whites and Everything Bright

That is what Spring is made of. As it starts to heat up out there, make sure you're turning up the heat on your wardrobe with some pieces from these trends.

That is what Spring is made of. The temperature will be approaching 70 degrees in NYC this week so you know what that means, Spring is coming! I am so over Old Man Winter and ready to put away the coats and boots and pull out the dresses and pumps. So as it starts to heat up out there, make sure you are turning up the heat on your wardrobe with some pieces from these trends, hot off the runways…

Spring 2011 Floral Trends

A floral, tiered, one shoulder dress will look super cute with some chunky platforms. For even more spice add a skinny belt.

If  you are feeling adventurous, why not try some floral leggings?! Make sure the floral pattern is not too small as it can began to look like pajamas, which is a no no.

You can never go wrong with a floral mini skirt and solid tank. Add some peep toe wedge booties and a cropped denim jacket to complete this look.

Spring 2011 Fashion Trends White

White jeans are always hot and something about a white mini dress just screams sexy. Whether a shift, one shoulder or a simple tank style, you can’t go wrong with a nude pump, or metallic accessories. To turn the heat up a notch, add a bright pump or color block platform like these babies from ASOS. While we are on the topic of the Asos Haven Block Heel suede platform sandals, blazing brights are sizzling this season, especially when color blocked…

"ASOS Headline Heel"

Pair a color block shoe with  solid pieces of the same hue and add an accessory in a different but complimentary color, as shown above. Or you can take a variety of colored pieces and make a statement as shown on Elle’s March issue featuring Katy Perry…

Denim is big this season as well including cut off shorts and cropped boyfriend jeans so incorporate how you see fit 😉

    1. No problem mama. Lace is always sexy, especially in an ivory color against dark skin tones. I am right along with ya, can’t wait for it to warm up.

    1. So do I. I sometimes don’t do white, afraid it will get dirty from my dusty office or 8 year old lol, but I will be rocking it when going out!
