Hard Candy Meteor-eyes Baked Glitter Eyeshadow Swatches & Review

The Hard Candy Meteor-eyes Baked Glitter Eyeshadows in Supernova and Asteroid. They are pretty close dupes of some limited edition high end eyeshadows.

I went upstate to visit my Mom this weekend and I am always excited to go upstate as that means I get to go to Walmart. No trip to Walmart is complete without a stroll down the cosmetics aisle. I stopped to take a look at the Hard Candy display and my eyes widened and jaw dropped… no way… these look like MAC Style Black MES dupes!

MAC Style Black was one of my favorite collections and I absolutely LOVE Cinderfella MES. However, I always regret not picking up Young Punk and Blue Flame.  So when I saw the Hard Candy Meteor-eyes Baked Glitter Eyeshadows in Supernova and Asteroid I just had to snatch them up.

"Hard Candy Meteor-eyes Baked Glitter Eyeshadow"

The Hard Candy Meteor-eyes Baked Glitter Eyeshadows are from the Spring/Summer 2010 Collection and consists of seven shades: Supernova, Asteroid, Black Hole, Intergalactic, Space Cadet, Lunar Eclipse and Outer Space. As I mentioned, I picked up Supernova and Asteroid.

Supernova

Asteroid

Supernova is a blackened purple with purple glitter and Asteroid, a blackened blue with blue glitter. These are absolutely beautiful. Smooth like butter and highly pigmented. The swatches were done dry with no base.

As you can see, Supernova has more apparent glitter than Asteroid nonetheless the glitter in Asteroid is still visible and the shade is gorgeous. Like any other glitter eyeshadow you will experience some fallout but nothing extreme. Using the shadows wet should help with the fallout and also intensify the color, making the glitter even more apparent.

If you missed out on Style Black I highly suggest these. In no way are they exact dupes of the Mineralize Eye Shadows from Style Black, however they are close enough to satisfy the itch. I am so upset with myself that I didn’t pick up a few more, definitely since they are so inexpensive at $6 a pop. These are available exclusively at Walmart.

This was my first experience with the new Hard Candy Line. I am super impressed and look forward to trying out more items in the future. I would love suggestions from the Hard Candy fans.
