I am going on vacation in a few weeks to SoBe (South Beach Miami, Florida) to enjoy some fun in the sun. My usual do for the Summer vacation is a Wet ‘n Wavy weave but I usually end up taking it out when I get home due to the horrible condition it is in from the salt water, humidity, chlorine etc. Regular old beauty supply store (BSS) hair just can’t stand up to the elements. So this time I decided that I would get me some premium hair that can hold it’s ground and hopefully hold me through the Summer months. After doing some research on BHM, I decided to go with the vendor Wagman Primus and order some of their PerfecTress Premium Indian Hair. I ordered 4 ounces of the Wagman’s PerfecTress French Body Wave in the Natural Color, 12 inches. I only ordered 4 ounces because I usually use one pack of BSS hair, and 4 ounces is about the equivalent of one pack. The hair shipped very fast. I ordered the hair on a Sunday and it arrived on the following Tuesday.
I immediately opened the hair up and was surprised to see how beautiful it was. Then I opened up the weft to measure how long the track was and to be sure that I had enough hair. You are supposed to be able to wear this hair straight as well so I tested a small portion of the hair by flat ironing (without any added product) and it appears to flat iron well. I then washed and conditioned the hair with Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner.
Hair with conditioner in…
Air drying, using a skirt hanger.
When I was ready to install, I braided my hair up leaving out just the nape, edges and a small u shape in the front to cover the tracks. I sewed in the hair and 4 ounces was just enough. To define the waves/curls, I added a small amount of Care Free Curl Instant Moisturizer to a spray bottle filled with water and sprayed my hair until it was dripping wet. I then rubbed one pump of Dove Advanced Care Anti Frizz Finishing Cream into the palm of my hands and applied from root to ends, and let air dry without touching.
Wet with products applied…
Dry hair…
This hair is gorgeous! I love the wave pattern and the texture. I was able to blend my relaxed hair by applying a little of the Care Free Curl Moisturizer mixed with mousse to my edges and leave out, and blending while wet. Yesterday I decided to comb the hair out once dry to achieve a “big hair” look. Combed out, the hair still looks great. Not so big, but I still love it!
So far I am really loving this hair. It is pretty easy to maintain. I put it in a loose braid to the back when I go to sleep. When I wake up, I spray it until damp and apply the Dove anti frizz cream. Then I sleek down my edges and go. I have not really experienced any tangling but the hair can get very dry. You have to be sure to use a good moisturizing products with this hair. But not too much. Less is more. You don’t want to apply too much product as it will cause build up, limp hair and tangles. I am still in the process of figuring out what products work best.
I paid about $106 for 4 ounces of 12 inch Wagman’s PerfecTress French Body Wave, plus shipping. That may seem steep. But you save in the long run as this hair is supposed to last at least 3 months, and 100 shampoos. I usually don’t leave my installs in that long as my new growth gets too thick. And I’m afraid my own hair will began to mat. But it’s nice to know that it can last that long if I wanted it too. Some members on BHM even report using the same Wagman’s hair for up to a year!
I am currently waiting for a new flat iron to arrive. So look out for Part II of this review with the hair flat ironed. I’ll also give an update on how the hair is wearing, and what products work best. For more information and to order Wagman’s PerfecTress French Body Wave go to www.wagmanhair.com

Thanks hon and no problem. Yup, everything I did myself. I always do my own hair. Glad you like it! 🙂
I’m glad you did this, because I’ve always wanted to know how to order by the ounce. I normally do hair from the beauty supply shops, but might go this route.
Try it out hon, you won't look back. Don't get me wrong, there are a few good brands in the BSS store, but most of the hair is a waste of money.
OK u have just convinced me. I'm apart of BHM too and I wasn't as fascinated with weave until I REALLY started getting involved with the forums. They way they talk about this hair just makes you want to try it out lol. Now I know I should. I've been stalking a couple of the hair websites they talk about frequently but still not sure who to go with. I may have to try Wags out : )
Try it… Try it… Try it!!!! I'm such an enabler lol 🙂
Very Pretty!!!
Thanks girlie!
I LOVE IT! I may try this brand once my hair grows back 🙂
