LUSH Brazened Honey Fresh Face Mask is a mask designed to exfoliate, detoxify, stimulate and nourish all skin types and is made with natural ingredients. The mask is bright yellow in color and has a strong sweet smell. I actually find the scent to be quite pleasant. Since this mask is made with fresh perishable ingredients without preservatives, it has a shelf life of about 3 weeks. Therefore it can not be ordered online (USA) and must be purchased in a Lush store. You must also keep the product refrigerated. The product is now available in a new smaller 2.1 oz pot for $5.95. A lot of people used to complain that it was too much product in the larger container and the mask would expire before they could finish it. Lush introduced the smaller size as a solution. The SA told me that I could get about 3 uses out of the jar, but I was actually able to get 5 uses and could have gotten 6 if I had used it a bit more sparingly. If you return 5 empty pots to a Lush store, you will receive a FREE mask which is really cool.

BOO! lol

I use the mask at night before bed about twice a week. Upon applying it, you can feel the ground almond shells which are used to serve as an exfoliating agent. The mask applies pretty thick and you must move quick because it begins to dry and tighten immediately. As the mask begins to tighten there is a tingling sensation. I did not find the tingling uncomfortable at all, in fact I enjoy it and it makes me feel as if I am getting a thorough cleansing. I leave the mask on for about 15 to 20 minutes. I then wet it with warm water and gently massage it into my face to exfoliate before rinsing off.  I find that the almond shells scrub very well but are not too harsh. The mask leaves my face feeling very clean, fresh, soft and smooth. A day or two after using it, I do however notice some new short lived blemishes. Since this is a detoxifying mask, this is expected. Your face is just purging the toxins that the mask draws to the surface.  I did not find the mask too drying, but I do follow with a moisturizer. Using this mask twice a week along with other LUSH skincare products, I have seen a noticeable improvement in the appearance of my skin.

Overall I love the LUSH Brazened Honey Fresh Face Mask.  It pretty much does what it claims for your skin and gets a thumbs up in my book. This mask is not too expensive for the amount of product received and I will definitely be repurchasing.
