I recently ran out of one of my favorite polishes of all time China Glaze For Audrey and was bummed when I couldn’t find it in any of my local stores. That was until I ran into Wet n’ Wild’s Megalast Salon Nail Color in I Need A Refresh-Mint since in the bottle it appeared to be an exact dupe… and indeed it is. 07.18.2012
I’ve been on the hunt for this lipstick since it came out this past Spring with no luck finding it. While browsing the makeup aisles in Duane Reade I noticed that they mixed the new Wet ‘n Wild Megalast lipstick shades in with the old ones and there she was. I am always on the hunt for the perfect product to keep my brows in place. Since I shape my brows practically every day, this is something that I run through pretty quickly so I’d rather it not be too expensive. It takes me longer to do my brows with powder so I prefer a pencil for quick, precise work when I am in a rush to get to work. Saved By The Blue is a deep royal blue polish with a metallic finish. Such a gorgeous shade and the name is too cute! I wore this shade for Memorial Weekend and I am actually still wearing it now with just minor tip wear and a few chips. Guess that’s a benefit of being on bed rest. Best of all, this line of polish from Wet ‘n Wild retails for $1.99 each and I got it for 40% off at Rite Aid. I’ll let you do the math! lol 05.26.2012
I am always on the hunt for the perfect nude lipstick, and as a brown girl it is pretty hard to find. When choosing a nude lipstick it is best to stay as close to your skintone as possible and not too light. I picked up MAC Freckletone a few weeks ago and it is the perfect nude lipstick for Brown Skinned Beauties. MAC Ruby Woo is considered by many to be the holy grail red lipstick. A bright red matte with blue undertones. I have a love/ hate relationship with it. I love the color but hate the matte formula. It is extremely drying, I mean make your lips peel drying. For that reason I don’t wear it much but I decided to pull it out and take it for a spin. |
