Last night I attended a Preview Party for the upcoming Limited Edition MAC Marilyn Monroe Collection inspired by the Bombshell herself, Miss Marilyn Monroe. The collection consists of lipsticks in sultry shades of red with complimentary lip liners, sparkling dazzleglasses, beauty powders and all of the accompaniments to achieve Marilyn’s iconic look. I didn’t need too many things for this Spring/Summer, mainly more dresses so I didn’t buy too much as I am trying to shop my closet more. I end up buying a whole bunch of mess that I don’t wear wasting money and closet space so this is all coordinated pieces to make complete outfits. The Makeup Show NYC was this past weekend and it is the most anticipated event of the year for makeup artists to get their hands on new products, attend informational and training seminars and to network. Last year was my first time attending The Makeup Show and I had such a good time that I couldn’t wait to attend this year. 05.18.2011
So I went to The Makeup Show NYC this past Sunday. It was my first time attending and I had a ball! I ran into some familiar faces from the blogosphere, met some celebrity makeup artists and picked up some new goodies. I am already looking forward to next year! I went to IMATS NYC yesterday and I had a ball. This was IMATS first time coming here and we completely sold out the event. It was super packed but not unbearable, although I got there later than expected. I met some familiar faces, got some goodies and best of all stuck to my budget! 01.28.2011
