Around here in these parts, groundhog Staten Island Chuck did not see his shadow today. I hope the furry little critter’s foresight is correct as this unseasonable weather we’ve been getting lately in NYC has me longing for an early Spring. In celebration of the occasion I decided to pull out my MAC lipstick in Up The Amp, a lavender violet amplified creme. Perfectly pastel falling right in line with this Spring’s trends.
Another must have for the brown skinned beauties, MAC Sweet As Cocoa Blush. A shimmering brown with slight red undertones that lights up the entire face with a natural looking glow. Did I say that this was a must have?! Yes, it’s a stunner.
I created this look using the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24HR cream eyeshadow in Fierce & Tangy as a base. It’s a golden and orange sunset themed eye, with bronzed cheeks and golden nude lips. A perfect look for warmer weather. Uughhh I can’t wait until Spring!
All berry errthang… a look created with the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24HR Eyeshadow in Pomegranate Punk and some complimentary eyeshadows from MAC.
As promised, here is a close up of my New Years Eve makeup look with a tutorial. A dramatic smokey eye using my Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette, and a bold lip. The only thing I did differently is use strip lashes, in the original look I wore individuals.
Get ready for the holidays with the Sleek Makeup Berry Collection, a limited edition collection for Christmas 2011 featuring a matte blush, lipstick and eye kohl all in festive berry tones! Fenberry blush is a matte rosy mauve that gives the cheeks a natural flush. Extremely pigmented, applies smooth and blends well, it will work with any skin tone. Perfect for everyday wear with a light hand.
NARS is notorious for making extremely pigmented blushes with names that, well actually make you blush. Ever complain that a blush doesn’t show up on your skin because it is not pigmented enough? Well you will never have that problem with Taj Mahal
MAC Ruby Woo is considered by many to be the holy grail red lipstick. A bright red matte with blue undertones. I have a love/ hate relationship with it. I love the color but hate the matte formula. It is extremely drying, I mean make your lips peel drying. For that reason I don’t wear it much but I decided to pull it out and take it for a spin.
This simple nude smokey eye is my favorite look to create with my Urban Decay Naked Palette. Paired with bold lips it’s sultry and sexy. Perfect for any occasion… work, play, date night, even girl’s night out and right in line with this Fall’s Makeup Trends. Easily toned down with a nude lip. |
