The Rihanna Hearts MAC Fall Collection dropped in stores yesterday and I was able to snag the only thing that I wanted, Talk That Talk Lipstick. After seeing swatches online I have to admit that I was not very impressed and kind of disappointed with Talk That Talk, but I decided to pick it up anyway for review purposes. Keep on reading to see if it lives up to all of the hype.
Diva RuPaul was the very first face of MAC Viva Glam in 1994 and now the original Viva Glam Girl is back as the face and spokesmodel for MAC Viva Glam The Original, a matte lipstick and now also a lipglass in her signature shade of burgundy red.
Laqa & Co.’s new Lil’ Lip Duo features two mini versions of their fat lip pencils that are just too cute. The twist up lip gloss pencils require no sharpening and are the perfect size to carry anywhere making them very purse and pocket friendly.
The Black Opal Color Splurge Collection is a new collection that features a line of extremely pigmented eyeshadow duos and two lines of glosses, one richly hued and the other sparkly and iridescent. I received a few products from each line to show you guys so let’s start with the Color Surge Eyeshadow Duos. Warning in advance, this post is VERY picture heavy!
Last but not least of the lipsticks from the RiRi Hearts MAC Summer Collection is Heaux. I saved the best for last because it is absolutely gorgeous and the most unique shade in the collection. The name is hilarious at that and I’ve been getting a kick out of telling people what I’m wearing lol. If you had to choose just one then it should be Heaux.
The second installment of the Rihanna Hearts MAC Collection was released on June 18th and boy oh boy was it the talk of the town and quite the mess with the virtual waiting room and cancellation of “early orders”. Despite all of the drama I was able to order RiRi Boy, Heaux and another RiRi Woo. Let’s take a look at RiRi Boy…
I’m a big fan of Do It Yourself lipstick palettes, especially in the form of pans which doesn’t take up too much space and makes it easy to switch the order of shades. I recently moved all of my lipsticks in my MUA Kit to a pan form palette and couldn’t be happier. While creating that palette I also used a Yaby Stackable Set Palette to make a mini palette with some of the shades that I have in my kit but not in my personal collection . It’s so cute and fits right in the palm of my hand making it easy to throw into my purse and go!
