Short Tapered TWA Haircut & Style Tutorial On 4C Natural Hair

Short Tapered TWA 4C Hair

I have a confession to make. I’ve been spending most of my time in quarantine looking raggedy by the head. It didn’t matter too much since I’ve been self quarantining in the comfort of my apartment for the most part. And I have an abundance of headwraps, headbands and hats to put on when I need to go outside, or show my face on video calls. But I finally got tired of walking around looking like somebody’s grandpa, so I cut my hair. I filmed a Short Tapered TWA Tutorial for y’all in the process.

I’m feeling real brand new. And real cute. I haven’t felt this cute in a hot minute. Spending long periods of time without combing your hair, putting on makeup or getting dressed will do that to you.

Super Short Tapered TWA Tutorial

I keep trying to convince myself to let my hair grow out again. But I need to face reality. I love my short hair. It just fits, and I don’t feel like myself when my hair starts to get too long.

DIY Quarantine Haircut

Now I’ve done a short haircut tutorial in the past. But I realized that I’ve never shown you guys the entire process. Including details on which guide combs I use to fade my hair. Along with a close up of how I do my line up. Anyway, enough chit chat. Here’s my Short Tapered TWA Tutorial. As a bonus, I’m also showing you guys how I style my hair after washing & deep conditioning. Let me know if you have any questions.

All I have to say is “wow!” You did a great job and you look great! I have the same type of hair and haircut and I’m curious about the sponge. Does it cause any hair breakage? I feel like my hair is so delicate when wet that I’m afraid of handling it too much but I love the coils.

Thank you so much. The sponge doesn’t cause me any breakage. But if your hair is delicate, then you can try using the palm of your hand. My hair coils the same way using just my hand
