Minimalist Chic pretty much sums up my daily uniform. I did an overhaul of my closet a little over a year ago and have been maintaining a minimalist wardrobe ever since. The majority of my wardrobe consists of pieces in a neutral color palette. You will catch me in black more often than not, but lately I’ve been navigating toward cream.
I added this cream duster jacket to my wardrobe this Winter. I figured it was the perfect addition for Spring. It can be paired with anything. Jeans, pants, dresses, skirts, jumpsuits. Basically everything. It can also be worn on cool Summer nights, and early Fall. Best of all, it looks so chic. I feel like a straight up boss when wearing it.

It amazes me how simple it is to create a minimalist chic outfit. All it takes is basic pieces that you probably already have in your closet. Along with some cute accessories. I’ve been obsessed with chokers lately. And I’ve taken to wearing my nameplate again. Can you believe that I’ve had it since Junior High School?
A super bright, in your face lipstick finishes the look off nicely. By the way, my son took these photos. He is getting really good with the camera, and actually volunteers to take my outfit AND makeup photos now.
Moving on, I wore this outfit to a Silent Disco at Lovage Rooftop NYC. A silent disco is an event where people dance to music listened to on wireless headphones. This was my girls and I first time attending a silent disco so we were super excited.
The event was hosted by Quiet Events and featured 3 live DJ’s. The wireless headphones had a station for each DJ. Each station had it’s own color so that you can jam with those listening to the same station. DJ 1 (Green) featured Top 40/EDM. DJ 2 (Red) played 80’s/90’s/2000s Throwbacks. And DJ 3 (Blue) played Hip Hop/R&B.
Lovage Rooftop Lounge opened just a few months ago, and it’s a gorgeous space. It has an enclosed indoor bar and lounge area with modern decor.
And an outdoor bar and lounge area with a beautiful view of the city.
We set up shop indoors since it was a little chilly. But we did spend some time in the outdoor area, and took some flix of course.
We munched on French Fries since we were going to dinner after. But we did enjoy some amazing Kiwi Coladas. OMG these were so good. I could drink them all night!
Overall, we enjoyed the Silent Disco. It was something different and a lot of fun. I loved the vibe at Lovage NYC and will definitely be going back for some after work cocktails with my girls.
