Cocotique is a deluxe beauty box subscription for women of color and includes a mix of 5-8 sample size and full size beauty and lifestyle products every month. I was sent over the Hype Hair + COCOTIQUE March Box for review. The box included a pretty nice selection, 3 full sized items and 4 deluxe samples for hair, skin and nails. Everything included in the box is something that I can and will use and that’s a rare case for me when it comes down to these types of boxes. I usually use one or two items and give away the rest but not this time. I’ve tried a few products already and was pretty impressed.
This one product does the work of five products – it’s a detoxifying cleanser, a smoothing conditioner, a detangler and a deep conditioner, all while doing the work of a leave-in conditioner. I washed my hair with the clay treatment and it left my hair feeling very clean and soft. I was also able to easily get out all of the tangles. It felt kind of weird since this was my first time doing a clay wash. Since there were absolutely no suds I felt like my hair wouldn’t get clean but it sure proved me wrong.
This conditioning cream nourishes the hair and scalp and conditions with jojoba oil, avocado oil, coconut oil, castor oil, shea butter, mango butter and more. It’s rich, thick and smells like vanilla frosting. There was a fair amount in the deluxe sample. After washing with the clay I applied my leave in and jamaican black castor oil then topped with this cream before styling. My hair felt extremely moisturized and I still have enough for a few more uses.
I’m absolutely in love with this polish, it’s like sunshine on the nails. You can see my full review here.
I actually already own the Milani Roses Blush in Coral Cove with a few backups (that I’ll probably give away), you can see swatches here. Overall I am really impressed with the Cocotique Beauty Box and can’t wait to try the rest of the products included, especially the Girl + Hair Under Hair Care Protective Restoring Balm which will come in handy next time I’m in braids. The box also included a 1 year subscription to HypeHair Magazine which is a pretty cool incentive. Subscribe to try Cocotique for yourself… The April Box looks like it’s going to be awesome!
