Pixi Fall 2013 Nail Polish Collection

Pixi Fall 2013 Nail Polish Collection

Although it’s almost officially Winter and it’s snowing in NYC, it’s technically still Fall and I have a few more days to get the last of the Fall collections off of my desk. It would be an injustice if I didn’t tell you guys about the new Fall nail polish shades from Pixi Beauty as they will compliment your holiday outfits nicely.

Pixi Fall 2013 Nail Polish Collection

Pixi added three new shades for Fall each with a different finish… Precious Pewter, Deepest Dahlia and Charcoal Celebration.

pixi nail colour precious pewter

Precious Pewter, Grey with silver and gold micro glimmer

pixi nail colour charcoal celebration

Charcoal Celebration, deep charcoal shimmer

pixi nail colour deepest dahlia

Deepest Dahlia, intense deep burgundy-plum cream

The polishes are formulated for high definition with a chip resistant finish and built in UV protection to prevent discoloration. All of the shades applied nicely and pretty opaque in just one coat, but definitely needs two for complete opacity. All swatches were done with one coat, no base or top coat and they dried down to a shiny, high gloss finish. I’m currently wearing Deepest Dahlia and used along with my Seche Vite base and top coats I’m getting pretty good wear with minor tip wear, even after a trip to the gym.

Pixi Polish is Big 3 free and can be purchased at pixiebeauty.com or at your local Target. $8 each.

When I’m not hunting down the latest and greatest beauty products, beating a face or lacing a do, you can find me roaming the streets of NYC in my stilettos looking for the next best restaurant. Or in the kitchen trying to outdo myself from the last time.

Is the brush on these really small? The bottle makes me think they are whenever I see them.

The brush is pretty average, about the size of re brush on Revlon polishes
