I snagged this brush set on clearance at Rite aid about a year ago and can’t believe that I am just posting about it since it’s so awesome! The EcoTools Bamboo 6 Piece Brush set contains all the essentials for defining the eyes and brows, covering imperfections and bringing out your cheekbones.
The six piece set includes five brushes for the eyes and face along with a carrying case. The brushes are made with bamboo handles, aluminum ferrules and cruelty-free, synthetic taklon bristles which are super soft.
The Lash & Brow Groomer is made with firm bristles on one side to brush brows into place and has a comb on the other side to tame lashes. It’s great for removing mascara clumps from your lashes.
The Angled Eyeliner Brush is great for applying gel and cream eyeliners to the upper lash line and waterline, it makes the perfect cat eye! It also works well for filling in the brows with powder.
The Eye Shading Brush is soft but dense and works great for applying eyeshadow all over the lid and shading the crease. It is also good for applying cream eyeshadow bases and highlighting under the brow bone. It’s such a multitasker.
The Concealer Brush works well for applying concealer under the eyes and all over the face.
The Blush Brush is soft and fluffy but dense enough to apply blush precisely. It can also be used as a powder brush to set makeup.
The brushes come in a hemp & cotton case with elastics to keep them in. The velcro flap keeps the brushes secure and there ia a zip section for storage of other makeup essentials making it perfect to take on the go.
EcoTools brushes are very sturdy and wash well. I haven’t had any problems with the brushes falling apart or shedding. They perform just as well or better than my higher priced brushes at a fraction of the cost. The Bamboo 6 Piece Brush Set retails at $12.99 and is frequently on sale or clearance. You can find it at a drugstore near you, if you’re in NYC check your local Duane Reade and Rite Aid.
