Dupe Alert: Wet n’ Wild I Need A Refresh-Mint Megalast Salon Nail Color & China Glaze For Audrey

I recently ran out of one of my favorite polishes of all time China Glaze For Audrey and was bummed when I couldn’t find it in any of my local stores. That was until I ran into Wet n’ Wild’s Megalast Salon Nail Color in I Need A Refresh-Mint since in the bottle it appeared to be an exact dupe… and indeed it is.

First of all this is not a mint on me at all but more like a robin’s egg blue just like For Audrey. It’s funny how one shade can look different on so many people. The formula is pretty thick in a good way and opaque in one coat but the brush can make it a bit streaky so I used two. Speaking of the brush, I have mixed feelings on it…

I guess it’s trying to copy OPI’s wide brush but it doesn’t work as well. The polish gets caught in the bristles in a weird way unless you pile on a lot but if you put too much you will get air bubbles. I guess I need to practice with it more. Moving on, the formula is pretty good. It’s supposed to be chip resistant for up to five days and I admit that even with how rough I am on my nails it held up for almost a week with minimal chipping. Especially my left hand which had no chipping at all. I was so impressed that I put it in on for another week.

The Wet n’ Wild Megalast Salon Nail Color is Toluene, phthalate, and formaldehyde free. It retails for $1.99 and can be found in a drugstore near you or on drugstore.com.
