Product Rave: MAC Cleanse Off Oil Removes It ALL

This makeup remover takes it all off without a trace, down to waterproof makeup. Even removes my stubborn and hard to remove Inglot AMC Gel Eyeliner. I can’t believe I didn’t rave about it sooner, I’m only on like my 5th bottle of the stuff. I’m in love.

"MAC Cleanse Off Oil"

MAC Cleanse Off Oil is an oil based makeup remover that’s gentle on the skin. It comes in an easy to dispense bottle with a locking pump camp. For light makeup one pump is enough, I use two for heavy makeup.

How it works is very simple, no rocket science here. You massage the cleanse off oil all over your face to dissolve the makeup. I pay extra attention to the eye area where my makeup is usually heaviest.  Then you splash some water on your face and massage some more, the water will make the oil emulsify into a lotion-type liquid…

After that you rinse thoroughly and follow with your usual cleanser if necessary. I find that the Cleanse Off Oil washes clean without any traces of residue, but I still follow it with my regular cleanser which is usually a foaming one using my Clarisonic Mia to ensure that my face is squeaky clean. That’s it. Easy right? Fair warning, don’t get it into your eyes though as it will sting a little and blur your vision briefly. Not fun.

I’ve been using this cleanser to remove my makeup for almost two years and I have not experienced any break outs from it. It is mineral oil free which is awesome since mineral oil clogs pores, and it contains olive fruit, evening primrose and jojoba seed. Also contains vitamin E to protect the skin. Not bad of a concoction if you ask me. MAC Cleanse Off Oil retails at $26 for 5 fl oz and also comes in a 1 fl oz travel size for $10. It may sound expensive but the 5 oz bottle usually lasts about 4 or 5 months and it removes everything so it’s worth it!!!
