The Experience: Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty At The Met

"Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty Exhibit"

The last day of the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty Exhibit at The Metropolitan Museum of Art was yesterday so I went with the girls to check it out before it went finito. The exhibition was organized by The Costume Institute and showcased the work of the late Alexander McQueen, from his post graduate collection to his final runway show which took place after his death in February 2010.

Savage Beauty has already been named one of the Mets’ most popular exhibitions, and the most visited. Throughout the entire event the lines were extremely long and the museum even opened during special hours on closed days for a price tag of $50 for those who wanted to utilize the “special hours.” Anyway, we had to wait in line for four and a half hours total… yup 4.5 hrs to see the exhibit. On the bright side, due to my employer I did not have to pay to get in. Of course I still gave a donation though, have to support the arts!

Now on to the photos from the exhibit… There are a ton, you’ve been warned in advance! :)

The Infamous Armadillo Boots!

That’s it folks. Whew that was a lot, an entire day outing as you can see we didn’t finish until after dark. It was all worth it in the end though.

So, what do you guys think about the Savage Beauty Exhibition?
