The Makeup Show NYC 2011: Recap and Haul

So I went to The Makeup Show NYC this past Sunday. It was my first time attending and I had a ball! I ran into some familiar faces from the blogosphere, met some celebrity makeup artists and picked up some new goodies. I am already looking forward to next year! Let’s see some of the people I ran into, you may recognize them…

LaTonya of Face Splash Makeup (left) & Kia of Yummy 411 (right)

I also ran into Tina of  The Fancy Face,  Kim Porter of Makeup by Kim Porter, Diva Lisa of Welcome 2 Diva’s World, Sherry of Sherry Blossom Beauty, Fancy of  This Fancy Face , Merli of Miss Merli and a few others. You will see some of them in the video below.

Isn’t he fine?!!! (no pun intended lol)

Now onto the goodies that I picked up. All I really wanted was another Inglot eyeshadow palette and Model in a Bottle, but of course I just had to pick up some other things too…

"The Makeup Show 2011 Haul""Inglot 10 Pan Eyeshadow Palette"

Inglot 10 Pan Square eyeshadow Palette $38

"Nigel Beauty Emporium Lashes"

Lashes from Nigel’s Beauty Emporium 7 pairs for $10 (one has a double)

Mixing Palette $4

Graftobian Dark Corrector Palette $11

I saw Ren Ren from Makeup by Ren Ren working over at Graftobian, she was pretty busy though.

"Model in a Bottle"

Parian Spirit Jar with cleansing screen to use with my Parian Spirit Brush cleanser $5

Model in a Bottle Original & Sensitive skin Formulas 2 for $25

"Lit Intense Eye and body glitter"

Lit Cosmetics Intense Eye and Body Glitter Kit $30

The kit contained 2 glitter shades and a large daily wear mixing medium, they threw in the small waterproof mixing medium free of charge, and I was given a complimentary shade as a blogger.

I will be doing individual reviews for these products so stay tuned. I was also able to sign up for my MAC and Inglot Pro Discounts at the show so I was super happy. Inglot gave the pro card on the spot, however MAC gave a temporary 2 day card and I have to wait 4-6 weeks for my permanent pro card. Oh well, better than doing it online. Check out my short video with coverage from the show…

And see here for a closer look at my makeup that I wore to the show.

Don’t forget to enter my giveaway for a chance to win a $50 Victoria’s Secret E-Giftcard!
