April Faves

Megatek Mix

I have been using my Mega Tek Mix as a hair growth aid for almost a month now, and I love it. I mixed the Mega Tek with Jamaican Black Castor Oil and Vegetable Glycerin (in the applicator bottle) and I apply it to my scalp twice a week. My new growth has been coming in quick and very thick. It has been growing out so fast that I had to remove my last install after only 3 weeks. It was so much new growth under my braids that my style would no longer lay right.  I usually keep my installs 6-8 weeks. This time I did my braids a little smaller and tighter so hopefully I can hold out for at least 6 weeks. My scalp and  new growth tends to be very dry and gets itchy. The Megatek has been keeping my scalp moisturized and my new growth very soft. For more information on Megatek and my regimen click HERE.

MAC MSFN

We saw a lot of hot, humid days this past month in NYC and I have been using my MAC Mineralized Skin Finish Natural Powder a lot. It gives great coverage with a nice glow, without feeling like I have anything on. When it is hot I do not like to wear anything that feels heavy as it makes me sweat and makes my face feel dirty.

MAC Fix + Spray

Most of the time when I wear pressed powder or powder foundation I finish my makeup with MAC Fix+ Spray. Powders can sometimes look caky and the Fix + helps you to achieve more of a dewy, natural look. Fix + also works well for foiling eyeshadows and applying pigments.

MAC Raizin Blush

This blush is absolutely stunning. It gives me such a natural flush. It is very pigmented so all you need is a small amount. I apply it with my ELF Studio Collection Complexion Brush which is a big, fluffy brush. For reference I am a NW45 in MAC.

MAC Ever Hip Cremesheen Lipstick

Ever Hip from the MAC Give Me Liberty of London Collection is  a gorgeous peachy coral shade. It is very light but can easily be built up for more intensity. The cremesheen formula is very moisturizing. Perfect shade for Spring.

MAC Perennial High Style Lipglass

Perennial High Style also from the Give Me Liberty of London Collection, is basically Ever Hip in lipglass form. It is super creamy and pigmented.Love it! It compliments Ever Hip very well and I usually wear the two together. Click here to see a FOTD featuring Ever Hip and Perennial High Style.

  1. Nice favourites! I'm so looking forward to LOL, it still hasn't arrived here unfortunately. Do you think that if you have Ever Hip, getting PHS is necessary? I mean, since they look similar, which of the two would you get?

  2. @Marce I don't wear Ever Hip without PHS, however I do wear PHS alone. If I had to choose between the two, I would definitely get PHS. It is gorgeous! Hope that helps 🙂

@Jess Thank you. I wore it again today. So in love
