I have been hearing so much about the NARS Orgasm Illuminator, the new extension to the Orgasm Line. It is the current buzz of the beauty world and pictures are popping up everywhere of celebrities wearing it while glowing and looking gorgeous. So you know yours truly had to go and snatch it up. Now I don’t have a very good history with NARS Orgasm. I really can’t stand the blush as it does not show up well on my complexion, just a bunch of sparkles. I use MARK Good Glowing Blush in After Glo as it is a dupe for Orgasm, but has better pigmentation. It’s also much cheaper. For the darker complexioned ladies that can’t wear Orgasm, you should try this blush. Absolutely gorgeous! Anyway back to the Orgasm Illuminator…
What it is:
A complexion enhancer that makes skin look instantly refreshed, radiant, and glowing.
What it does:
NARS Orgasm Illuminator lights your skin from within! Deceptively sheer and decidedly luminous, it magically transforms lackluster skin into a remember-me, luscious complexion. Flirt with foundation, go it alone, or go neck-and-neck with your décolleté. The effect is, well, orgasmic.
Size: 1.1 oz
(Description from Sephora)
The Orgasm Illuminator is lightweight and liquigel in consistency. It is moisturizing and absorbs into the skin quickly. It glides on smooth and is not sticky or greasy. When I was testing it out in Sephora, I took a pea sized amount and applied it on my cheekbones. It gave me a gorgeous glow. I already had my makeup on for the day, but the addition of the Illuminator definitely enhanced my look. You can apply this directly to the areas that you wish to highlight or mix it with your favorite foundation or moisturizer.
The Orgasm Illuminator retails for $29. Now the tube is pretty small, 1.1 oz. Think purse-sized hand lotion. Although the tube is small I still feel that it is worth the price because you only need a small amount, and the tube will last a very long time. You can purchase the Illuminator exclusively at Sephora.
I was skeptical about this product because as I mentioned earlier, Orgasm and I didn’t get along in the past. However I am willing to put the past behind me and embrace the future with my new found love. FOTD coming soon!
Have you picked up the Orgasm Illuminator yet? If so, what are your thoughts? If not, is it on your wish list or do you plan to sit this one out?
