“I’ve got way too many makeup brushes” said no beauty addict ever. I’m always on the hunt for a good brush since my collection is always changing with some not so good ones shedding and straight up falling apart. I received a few of the new pro brushes from the Sephora Collection in my bag from The Makeup Show NYC Blogger Preview and it took me a while to get to them as they were hidden under a pile of other stuff on my desk, but boy oh boy am I happy to have these as they are thee truth!

Friday Night Shenanigans At Yotel East & West Terrace


My line sister Nikki had a birthday dinner on Friday after work at East & West, the restaurant at Yotel. The weather was beautiful and we were able to get a table out on the terrace so we had us a good old time. We caught up, took lots of pictures and just enjoyed the evening.

Blogging 101: Blogging On The Go


As a busy blogger it is important to have the means to keep up with your blog at all times, including on the go. Sometimes it is hard for me to keep up especially since I also work a 9 to 5. With the flood of blog comments, emails, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social network activity it can all be overwhelming when you’re out and about, but it doesn’t have to be. Primarily I keep up with The Glamorous Gleam on the go with my smartphone but sometimes the screen is just too small. I found that a 7″ tablet is the perfect medium.

Summer Fling From Nail Polish Newbie On The Block Lisa Lacquer


Lisa Lacquer is a new brand of nail polish by Lisa Wilson, a former NYC Beauty Editor. After seeing hundreds of beauty products cross her desk everyday Lisa grew bored with the same old colors, and as a mom on a budget she was not feeling the expensive price of current brands. Especially to have it chip the next day. When pregnant with her second child she still wanted to feel beautiful with a great manicure but didn’t trust the toxic free claim of the big brands. Wanting a toxic free polish in vibrant colors that could withstand chasing after two boys, Lisa created her own.
